To help the people below we offer a computer to practise computer skills on, help to practise for your learner driver’s licence, help with writing your CV, help with finding the most suitable training courses for your needs. We can also offer ideas about jobs but we are not a job placement agency.

Waitakere City has high rates of unqualified school leavers, low adult literacy levels, increasing numbers of people for whom English is a second language and many of the significant poor social outcomes associated with these groups.  Unfortunately it has always been very difficult to attract those groups who would most benefit from continuing education, through the more traditional means of advertising and promotion.

What are the Barriers to accessing adult/youth and community education?

 Physical and sensory access i.e. impaired hearing, visual impairments, physical impairments etc.

 Care giving responsibilities/childcare

 For those suffering from lack of confidence the “shop” atmosphere will allow them to “browse” for information.

 ACE Space will use a variety of methods for the dissemination of information catering to all learning styles.
